Caldè is one of eleven communities situated in the district of
Castelveccana, 8 km from Laveno and 12 km from Luino. The village has a
picturesque small port and is renowned for the “
Fish Festival” held
August, for the “risottissimo con funghi (mushroom risotto)”
September, for for lifeguards and athletes feasts and for the
yearly rowing and sailing races organized in the gulf. The Local Tourism
Office (Pro Loco) brightens up the village by interesting iniziatives,
usually performed in the cozy square of Calde’, whose tiny hamlet is
known as “
la Portofino del lago Maggiore”.
Although by now collapsed, a trip is recommended to La Rocca,
accessibile only on foot and most typical symbol of Castelveccana; from
the top, the panorama is impressive in clear days. In the lower part of
La Rocca, erected on the precipice facing the lake the twelwe-century
Church of Santa Veronica houses fine frescos not long restored.
Around for the district, furthermore, rise up some interesting holy
buildings dating back at XI e XII centuries: the Parish of San Pietro,
Hermitage of Sant’Antonio, the small Romanesque Church of San
, near to Sarigo, and the Bell Tower of San Martino.

Bookings - Pre-Confirmation:

Bookings - Payment:
has to bank transfer the 50% of the rental amount as a commitment

acceptance, a copy of this leasing contract compiled with the missing
personal data and the signatures of acceptance (two signatures at the
end of the contract under ‘LESSEE’) by e-mail to

30 days prior to the arrival (check-in) date Customer must pay the
balance of the rent due.

- Cancellation received between 29th and 15th day implies a 50% fee of
the amount transfered.
